Has been under professional new management since the old poor reviews. They seem to source good fresh ingredients & cook them expertly. Their cooking doesn't stink the town out like 2 or 3 other establishments...good fats & cooked at the time of ordering. Owners aren't struggling with transfat obesity...always a good sign. I also haven't had a monosodiumglutamate reaction with their food.
Staying at Bainland Lodges we wanted a takeaway one night, used Peking Chef, very pleased with food, portion sizes good, hot and tasty. Can not fault it.
I'm glad I ignored most of the reviews for this take away, because we thought it was the best Chinese meal we have had in a long time. The flavors of the meals were delicious and the portions were very generous. The chips were proper chips not those usual matchsticks. However, it lost a star because the fried food went straight from the fryer into the bag making them very greasy, but a dab with kitchen towel solved that. Highly recommended, we will certainly try them again.
